1. Introduction

LG Electronics Inc. and its family of companies (together, “LGE” or “we”) is committed to protecting the information of those individuals who use “Sites”. This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use, and share information that we obtain as a result of your use of these services and, in particular, sets out:

• What information LGE may obtain from you as a result of your use of “Sites”
• How LGE uses the information that it obtains;
• When LGE shares information with others;
• When and why LGE may need to transfer your personal information
• How you may control LGE’s use and sharing of your information.

Please know that the our services may contain elements, hardware, devices and other functionality, which may be owned or controlled by third parties and not LGE and may be governed by separate privacy policies or practices. This policy is not meant to cover the practices of these third parties and only applies to products, services, devices and other technologies provided, manufactured or developed by LGE for you, as a user of the Sites.

In addition, LGE may provide links to other services owned and operated by third parties. These third party services are outside the scope of this Privacy Policy and have their own policies that apply to the collection, use, and sharing of information in connection with their services. We encourage you to read those policies. LGE is not responsible or liable for the privacy practices of such third parties.

2. What information does LGE obtain?

LGE collects and stores your information that you have provided to us. Here are some examples of manners in which we may collect your information on the Sites:

• We may collect registration details about any content, software or other applications that you upload or download from the Sites;
• We may collect your name, company name, the establishment year of your company, company website URL, company introduction, business areas, and your solution information if you request access to the business partner service of the Sites.
• We may automatically log your IP address (the unique address which identifies your computer on the Internet) which is automatically recognized by our server when you use the Sites.

3. How will LGE use the information it obtains?

We use information obtained from the Sites (both non-personal information and, where applicable, personal information) for various purposes, including:

• To deliver information, content and other services to you;
• To determine the scope of our services, information and content that we may provide to you;
• To provide services you request;
• To provide access to the online forums;
• To complete a transaction or service requested by you;
• To ensure the Sites are relevant to your needs;
• To notify you about a material change to this privacy policy or the Terms of Use Agreement, if necessary; and
• To contact you in response to the forms such as Contact Us or other inquiry.

We may combine information obtained from the Services, including personal information, with information that you provide to us by other means for the above purposes.

4. Information Sharing

We generally do not share with third parties the information we receive as a result of you using “Sites”. Nevertheless, please be aware of the following circumstances where we may share such information with third parties:

• To fulfill a service to you. For example, if you upload or download content, software or applications from the Sites, we may share your personally identifiable information in order to fulfill your request. In addition, if you email us a question, we may use your email address to process your request and respond to your question. If you download a content, software or an application from the Sites, we may need to share your data with third parties in order to have that content, software or application delivered to you.
• To our parent company, subsidiaries and affiliates in order to better serve you. LGE may have to share your data with these parties in order to provide you with services that have been requested by you, or so that we can ensure our services and products are meeting your needs.
• To strategic partners, agents, third party service providers, or other unaffiliated parties, that work with LGE to provide content, software, applications or other products or services to LGE. These third parties may need your data in order to fulfill a service or send a newsletter to you. For example, LGE may need to provide your data to a third party service provided in order to ensure an application developed by you works on LGE products or send out newsletters to you.
• To unaffiliated third-party service providers, agents or independent contractors who help us maintain the Sites and provide other administrative services to us (including, but not limited to, order processing and fulfillment, providing customer service, maintaining and analyzing data, sending customer communications on LGE’s behalf and entry collection, winner selection and prize fulfillment for contests, sweepstakes and other promotions). We seek to ensure that these unaffiliated third parties will not use the personally identifiable information for any other purpose than to provide the administrative services for which they are responsible. Because such unaffiliated third-party service providers that help us administer the Sites will have access to users’ personally identifiable information, if you do not wish for our unaffiliated third-party service providers to have access to your information, please do not register or submit any personally identifiable information to us.
• To comply with the law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the requirements of law or comply with legal process served on us, protect and defend our rights or property, including the rights and property of LGE or act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of our end users.
• To third parties as part of any corporate reorganization process including, but not limited to, mergers, acquisitions, and sales of all or substantially all of our assets.
• To track and analyze non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical information from our visitors and customers and provide such information to third parties.
• To protect against potential fraud, we may verify with third parties the information collected from the Sites. In the course of such verification, we may receive personally identifiable information about you from such services.

LGE will take commercially reasonable steps in order to ensure any such third parties treat your personal information securely.

Under no circumstances shall your personal information be processed for marketing purposes, nor shared with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

We, our affiliates, subsidiaries, and suppliers may use information (including your personal information) in countries other than where your devices are located in connection with providing you with our Services and any other purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. The data protection laws in many of these countries may not offer the same level of protection as those in the country where you are located. However, before transferring your personal information we will take steps to ensure that such information will be afforded the same level of protection. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy you expressly consent to us and our business associates and suppliers processing your data in any jurisdiction, including, without limitation, Republic of Korea, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We will keep your personal information for as long as is necessary for us to provide you with Services or other purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or as required by applicable law.

7. Cookies and other tracking technologies

A “cookie” is a small text file that may be used to collect information about your activity on the Sites. For example, when someone visits a page within the Sites, a cookie is placed on the user’s machine (if the user accepts cookies) or is read if the user has visited the Sites previously. You may set most browsers to notify you if you receive a cookie, or you may choose to block cookies with your browser, but if you do, you may not be able to take advantage of the personalized features enjoyed by other users to the Sites.

Protecting the privacy of children is important to us. For that reason, none of our Services are directed at or designed to attract anyone under 14 years old. We also do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from users who are under 14 years old. Should we learn or be notified that we have collected information from users under the age of 14, we will promptly delete such personal information.

If you are under 14, please do not attempt to register on the Sites or send us any Personal Information.

10. Changes to LGE’s Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated by LGE from time to time. If we make a material change to our Privacy Policy, we will update you via websites, services or other means. If you do not consent to the updated privacy policy, some Services may be restricted.

If permitted by laws, a small fee for providing you with such service may be charged. Please note that we may decline to process your requests if they are unreasonably abusive, jeopardize the privacy of others, or are extremely impractical. If you would like to make a request to access, rectify, cancel or oppose to the processing of your personal information, please contact us at aixexchange@lge.com.

From time to time, we communicate with users who use the Services through email.

For example, we may use your email address to confirm receipt of your request, to send you information about changes to our services, and to send you notices and other disclosures as required by law.

13. Assignment

In the event that all or part of our assets are sold or acquired by another party, or in the event of a merger, you grant us the right to assign the information collected via your use of Services.
